A genie. Looks like an
amberly, with black hair and dark eyes, and wears long flowing robes.
Usually has a dagger. Paired with a brass lamp, which varies in quality.

Generally subservient and
obliging, but an expert with a dagger or a garrotte when necessary. Avid
readers, and talented gardeners.
A griffin. Its front half is like an eagle and it has feathery ears,
like an owl. Its back half is like a lion and it’s the size of a grizzly
bear. The males have blue wings and scarlet breast feathers, and the
females are a golden colour.

Brazzles are very clever, and live for a long time. The males guard
hoards of gold, and are mathematicians. The females are historians.
A unicorn. It has a silvery-white coat, blue eyes, and a twisted
horn in the centre of its forehead the colour of old ivory.

Brittlehorns are peaceful creatures that like meditating, but they
can be depressingly vague. They’re able to make magical healing potions,
and they live in herds.
A harpy. The heads and
shoulders of an old crone, and the body, legs and wings of a vulture.

Refuse disposers by
profession, they are meteorologists in their spare time. They hold
shriek-outs in thunderstorms, when they all fly around screaming at
the tops of their voices.
A sort of yak-buffalo, with a rhino horn and long dark coarse hair.
Their hooves are painted different colours, to show who their owner
is.
Behaviour
Used as a beast of burden, and to pull carts. When threatened they
like to form a circle, with the calves in the middle. They bellow
loudly, and eat a lot.
